The Death Of Let's Plays (And More)

The U.S. Congress has proposed a new bill making pretty much everything on YouTube illegal. If a product is copyrighted and you show part of it on YouTube, (or the rest of the Internet) you are committing a crime. This bill is called S.978. What does this mean for gamers? Well, it means the end of Let's Plays, video walkthroughs, gameplay videos, machinima, E3 coverage, the Angry Video Game Nerd show and more.

That is bad enough. What are the consequences if someone is caught posting this stuff? You will have to take the video down, may be fined thousands of dollars and may be sent to jail for up to five years.

Why are they doing this? Well, because Hollywood, record companies and more think they are losing money because of these videos. This is a mistake. They are helping them. How? Well, Let's Play videos make people want to buy these games, same with pretty much all the other videos. Minecraft became so popular because of all the videos on YouTube. They are basically fining people for advertising their games. Whatever happened to freedom of speech?

I am not going to stand for this crap, Congress! I just wanted to warn you guys if you never heard of this yet. I will get back to the reviews in a couple of day, so do not worry. I just thought this was more important right now.
