Catherine Review

Introduction
Today I review a sexy scary and weird puzzle platformer, Catherine. Catherine is a very hard game to describe, but I will try. In the game, you play as Vincent Brooks, a man trying to juggle his life around Katherine (his girlfriend) and Catherine (a mysterious young beauty). In the day, he tries to talk with Catherine and Katherine and hanging around the Stray Sheep Bar. At night, he gets stuck in a platformerish nightmare and he must get out alive. Yep, I have no idea how to describe this game. There is some moral choices thrown in as well, and there is also some multiplayer. So, is the game any good?

The Review
Overall, the game is awesome. It looks good, both the game itself and the anime style cutscenes (and I am not even an anime fan!) The soundtrack is great and fits the gameplay well. The sound effects are eerie and add to the creepiness. The morality system is interesting, as it is not focused on good or evil, and the choices are quite unique. The game's story is very unusal and creative - the writer must be very imaginitive. One of the greatest parts of the game however is just how unique and different it is. Everything about this game screams "weird" and "fresh".

Vincent creeps me out...
Like every game, this one has it's problems too. The controls are a little iffy and the camera can sometimes be a nuisance as well. Also, this game isn't for casual gamers at all. The game is very, very, very hard, and this may easily frustrate some people who prefer more relaxed experiences.

Highlights
The Good: It looks good, there is some great music and sound effects, interesting morality system, unusual and creative story, and the game itself is unique.

The Bad: There are a few annoyances, and the game is very hard.

The Result: I give it a 4 out of 5.

Meet Catherine. Would you choose her if you were Vincent?
