Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D

Introduction
I think they made a mistake. Resident Evil takes a turn from the frightening to just a plain old shooter in Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. It is a 3DS game that combines the mindless shooting minigame, "Mercenaries" from Resident Evil 4 and 5, and turns it into a full scale game as the player is tasked with killing as many enemies in the time limit as possible. There is some Wi-fi connectivity for multiplayer as well, and a working demo of the next Resident Evil game on the 3DS, Revelations. So, is it any good?

The Review
The game is mediocre at best. The sound and music isn't bad, and it helps to get you excited and riled up to kill all the monsters, but there isn't a whole lot of variety. The graphics are amazing and some of the best I have seen so far on the 3DS. The character models are amazingly detailed. The gameplay is the same as it was in the other Resident Evil games, so you know how fun and addictive it is. The controls in this game are also easy to use and feel natural.

The game has no story at all.
The one main problem about this game is easy to spot. There is no depth too it. Sure, there is some more maps, and multiplayer and such but it just ends up feeling like a bonus that would come packaged with another game. The game also has some glitches too, which can be distracting, such as frame rate issues or
enemies disappearing in the middle of a game. Another problem is the fact that the game has no story at all. The stories are some of the best parts of the Resident Evil games, and this game doesn't have one. Not even a simple one.
Even though it lacks content, it is still fun for a while.
Highlights
The Good: Not bad sound and music, great graphics, solid controls and the gameplay is fun and addictive.

The Bad: It lacks depth and content, there are some glitches, and no story at all.

The Result: I give it 3 out of 5.
