Dirt 3

Introduction
Dirt 3 is the latest racer and it is good. If you are wondering what happened to the Colin McRae tag, it was removed. I don't know why. The game is about a race car driver who is trying to get reputation points by taking part in various racing events so he can get sponsored. It of course has online multiplayer and new for the series, a sort of Mario Party type thing, but with cars. One of the coolest features is the ability to upload your replay clips right on to Youtube. Just how good is Dirt 3 then?

The Review
Besides some minor annoyances, this game is great. There is a great range of difficulties, so anyone can enjoy the game right off the bat, hardcore or casual alike. The cars handle well, just like they do in real life. With the new modes and features, there is lots of gameplay variety here. There is no repetitive gameplay. The game also looks great. Sometimes I would just go in races to admire the amazing scenery. The game sounds just as good as it looks. The game sounds like a real race, so the immersion level is high. The music is great as well. They make good use of their licensed soundtrack, even though I have never heard of any of the performers.
I would hate for my car to get that dirty.
The only bad point I can think of is how the Youtube features are too simple. While pretty innovative, they are too restrictive to use. Overall, Dirt 3 is the best racing game I have reviewed so far.

Highlights
The Good: Great ranges of difficulties, the cars handle well, lots of gameplay variety, and good graphics and sound.

The Bad: The Youtube features are too simple.

The Result: I give it 4.5 out of 5.
