NASCAR 2011: The Game Review

Introduction
I have never been a fan of racing games. My dad loves NASCAR, but this game is just too mediocre to recommend to him. NASCAR 2011 is a racing game, obviously. It has a lot of great features too, like completely redesigning your car. You can even change your sponsor! I am going to be sponsored by Cheese Puffs! There are a few game modes to enjoy, but I recommend Career Mode. It also has some pretty good physics too. Just don`t expect much from the AI.

The Review
The game has some pretty high notes, but not enough to save it. The game looks great. It is the next best thing from watching NASCAR, and sometimes you might not be able to tell the difference. It is the same with the sound. Everything from the screams after you start a 10 car pile-up (oops...) to the roar of the engine is heard. The game also captures the feel of watching (or being in) a NASCAR race. You like to cheer for the other racers, or sometimes you bad mouth them (oops...)

Shut Up! Shut Up!
One of the worst parts of this game is the AI. Sometimes I swear I won the race because the other cars went backwards. Overall though, the worst point is the online play. It is worst then eating shit. It lags so badly, and the leaderboard is screwed up. Unless they can drive faster than Jeff Gordon, the leaderboard should not say that the best player won a race in a total of 2.5 seconds. But is does! Boy, the competition is stiff.

Online play sucks...
Highlights
The Good: Looks great, sounds good, and it often captures the feel and excitment of real NASCAR races.

The Bad: AI is really stupid, and online play is shit.

The Result: I give it 3 out of 5.
