Virtua Tennis 4 Review

Introduction
This new arcade style tennis game in a long line of sequels is here. And it ain't no ball in the park. Did you get it? I did like a- wait! That is a baseball joke... Damn! As you can see, there have been four of these games, not counting Virtua Fighter and Virtua Stripper. The first three were amazing in terms of enjoyability. The new game, however, uses motion controls, to show how stupid you look. Fling your Wii remote, or your Move wandy thing, or use your Kinect controller to fling a ball around on screen. This game even has 3D support! How bad can it be? Hint: There are other tennis games out there!

The Review
I think this is the first mediocre game I reviewed so far. Don't get me wrong though. The game looks great. Everywhere is colorful and beautiful, and the virtual women are fine, so do not drool. (Except for the hands, that look like they are not even connected to the arms.) It is also easy to learn, and you will be on the court quickly. Sometimes, once you get past the annoying parts, it can be fun, if you are lucky.

The game looks great!
The first problem is the simplicity that makes it repetitive. They tried to copy Wii Sports Tennis. That was a minigame! It was simple because there was like four other minigames to play. Don't make it into one game! It also has annoying music. They might as well throw some Justin Bieber tunes in right now. It would sound better. The next point is the fact that the motion controls are awful looking. You look like you are dancing to Michael Jackson's Thriller with the motion controls on. Last but not least, the game has very bad sound effects. Whenever a ball hits the racket, it sounds like it exploded or something.

"Thriller! Thriller!"
Highlights
The Good: It has good graphics, the game is quick and easy to learn, and it can be fun.

The Bad: It is too simple, has annoying music, motion controls are stupid looking and has bad sound effects.

The Result: I give it 2.5 out of 5.
